"Organize? I Just Can't Deal With It!"

NJ Expert Organizer, Marilyn Shain Labendz, understands how clutter mounts

Do YOU:

  • Put "to do things" in plastic bins?

  • Have multiple laundry baskets filled with "things to get to" but no laundry?

  • Have a garage and/or basement filled with boxes of memorabilia to go through, but you feel nauseated at the thought of getting started?

  • Not even know what's in the boxes, or how long they've been there?

  • Beat yourself up for being so disorganized and cluttered?

If you answered yes to even one question, and especially the last question, you MUST:

NJ Expert Organizer, Marilyn Shain Labendz, can put a stop to bad habits.

Do NOT beat yourself up as the situation will only get worse. We all have our strength and weaknesses.

Pointers on getting started:

  • Pick the area that is most in need of de-cluttering.

  • Establish a small amount of time to work. At the beginning of a project start small, say 1/2 hour.

  • Set a timer.

  • Take one small section at a time, or even one box/bin/pile/shelf at a time.

  • Be prepared to sort the contents with a large garbage bag, recycling container, donate container that you have nearby.

At the end of the session:

  • Straighten up the area you worked in. Garbage bag in the garbage can, recycling in the recycle bin.

  • Put the donate items aside in a designated area for items from the next session.

  • Take a step back and feel good that you got something done!

As you get used to doing this format, see if you can increase the amount of time or the frequency of sessions.

NJ Expert Organizer, Marilyn Shain Labendz, says a professional organizer may be what you need.

Not everyone can de-clutter and organize easily or even at all on their own. IT'S OK.

But the job has to get done, right?

CONTACT ME and I will work with you to clear your space and take control.
